Ho ho ho. December first, the beginning of advent and so with it the building feverish anticipation and longing, which will not be relieved until I eat and drink the baby jesus at midnight mass.
In an unprecedented internet Christmas miracle, I have completely overhauled this website to turn it into something of a Christmas grotto.

I want this to be something of an advent calendar for you, so I am going to try and have a treat for you here each day through Christmas and maybe one or two will be christmas related too! So hold on to your santa hats and get ready for a wild sleigh ride* to the big man’s birthday!
Obviously this is a very competitive time of the year for highbrow satirical blogs and although something I don’t need to worry about normally, this year I am out to prove a point. My fellow nominee for BEST WEBSITE ON ALL OF THE INTERNET 2008 award (sponsored by ilovestiggers.com) is MC Aaron is Blarin’ which is, my very very good friend, MC Aaron’s blarin’ website.
I have nothing but admiration for this website and I frequently steal material and ideas from MC Aaron. In fact one of my better recent blogs was written by Aaron, used without his permission!

As you all now, Stiggers is Jesus. What? No! I said nothing of the sort! Look again my friend, sometimes the mind wants something so bad it plays tricks on you.
As you all know, Stiggers is a big fan of Jesus and a little bird told me he is a big fan of ilovestiggers.com too. What? No don’t be silly that sounded nothing like when Clark Kent talked about Superman. LET IT GO you sweet wonderous spirit you. No no, i forgive you [Stiggers winks not unlike Sean Connery at the end of Time Bandits].
So that its his birthday is awesome but what is more awesome is that MC Aaron is still waiting for the first showing of his messiah. KEEP ON WAITING AARON! heh heh. So he doesn’t get to enjoy Christmas. Or get to use any advent calendar-like gimmicks to get himself much longed for attention.
All I’m saying is, keep an eye on how our page views go throughout the month, just a bit of friendly competition, that cheeky ol’ Christian vs Jew comedy dynamic the world has so treasured and loved over the last 20 centuries.
